I created some new large works on paper that I have been trying to attach to canvas with matte medium.  The paintings on the lighter weight drawing paper went down fine...eventually.  However, the largest one that I did on 140 lb. watercolor paper will NOT lay down on the canvas.  At least not without buckling. I think I am going to stomp on it.  Maybe that will work.  And if it doesn't, I think it will at least make me feel better.

Here is a picture of the painting that is making me want to cuss.  A lot.
See the buckles I'm talking about?  Not good.

These two did come around. Finally.

And since I've been on the paper lately...I couldn't resist shooting these with the glare of sun coming in through the windows.

I like how the shadow of the brushes lies if they are inspecting their work.  I may have breathed in too many paint fumes today.

Happy Mardi Gras!!!!!

  1. Which piece is the 2nd "one to come around, finally", leaning in between the windows? (the more colorful one). Love it. Is it available?

  2. Thank you! Yes, as far as I know it is available @ Chicago Art Source. It is titled My Red Heart and measures 60" x 44".
